South African Tourism is responsible for the promotion of tourism to South Africa in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia and Finland.
The Campaign
South African Tourism wanted to bridge the gap between communications amongst two countries, allowing fellow South Africans to communicate to people in Paris. In collaboration with Curb Media, two boxes were installed, one in Paris and one in Cape Town V&A Waterfront, South Africa. With a camera and screen people were able to have live conversations linked by an internet connection.
The Result
During this period, many people had the opportunity to have random conversations with people passing by the screens located in Paris. Loved ones were even called to locate the screen to talk to family members whom they haven’t spoken to in a while
