The Client

Pepsi’s aim around this campaign was to create a surge of excitement around the UEFA Champions League (UCL) 2022. The campaign aims to elevate the football experience with a competition “Change the Game” through selected retailers and e-commerce platforms.

The Campaign

With the caption “There are those that play the game and those who change it. Are you ready for the Champions League?” the competition was widespread across multiple Roadside Digitals and Digilites located on forecourt stations in South Africa.

To enter the competition people had to purchase either a Pepsi Classic or Max, follow the prompts under the bottle cap or pull ring, enter their details and they could stand a chance to win a share of R1 million. 

The Results

The campaign went live on 1 February and ended on 31 May 2022, during which it received over 1.3m views over 77,500 ad plays.
